Looking after your skin is one of the best ways to stay looking young. Most of the eye creams I’ve tried so far have been the higher end of drugstore prices, from brands like La Roche-Posay & Vichy. I thought that by buying a more expensive product, I would get a better quality of product. With my financial situation as it is (no money coming in & waiting on my PIP tribunal), there was no way that I could afford these more expensive brands. Enter the Balance Snake Venom Eye Cream.

The biggest problems I have with my under eyes are dark circles & dryness. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed more fine lines appear around my eyes. While these are par for the course as we age, I would like to minimise them as much as possible. However I often wonder how effective eye creams are in preventing fine lines & wrinkles. After all, we can only see what our eyes look like having used an eye cream. We have no way of comparing what they would’ve looked like had we not used an eye cream.

The Balance Snake Venom Eye Cream claims to relaxed tired eyes & I definitely feel that it does this. The cream has a cooling feeling when you apply it, that lingers for about 5 minutes. Not only does this relax my eyes, it also soothes them, particularly if I’m tired or have had a long day.

The Balance Snake Venom Eye Cream claims to moisturise & illuminate. With how dry my under eyes usually are, I can definitely confirm that it is moisturising! As for illuminating, this is harder to tell. There is definitely a sheen, but lots of creams give that effect because they aren’t dry. I do feel that the cream gives my under eye area a radiance that I haven’t experienced with other eye creams though.

The Balance Snake Venom Eye Cream claims to minimise under eye dark circles & bags. I can’t comment on whether it reduces the appearance of bags, as I don’t have these. In terms of dark circles, I do think that this eye cream has helped to reduce the darkness under my eyes. Not a lot, but that’s probably because my under eye circles are very dark as a result of chronic illness, poor sleep & genetics.

I’ve been really pleased with the Balance Snake Venom Eye Cream. It’s the best eye cream I’ve used so far. It’s also a fraction of the cost of what I’ve used in the past, so it’s a win-win situation all round! The formula is paragon free & you get 15ml of product.

You can purchase the Balance Snake Venom Eye Cream from fragrancedirect.com for £2.99, but I got mine from Savers for £1.99.
