Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

There’s good news for those who like dewy finish foundations with sheer lớn medium coverage. Revlon has finally launched their much raved about Nearly Naked foundation and powder in India. As the name suggests, this foundation claims lớn give a natural, flawless finish that looks like naked skin. Personally, I reserve the medium lớn full coverage foundations for formal occasions and prefer light ones such as the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua & L’Oreal Nude Magique for casual/regular wear so I was really glad when the Nearly Naked launched here. The Revlon Nearly Naked foundation comes in a simple, rectangular glass bottle with a white cap. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a pump và hence, pouring out the foundation becomes a messy, wasteful affair. You also have the foundation pooling around the brim of the bottle & drying up there making the bottle and cap dirty. Besides, since it comes in a glass bottle, you have to be careful with it. It is sure to shatter if it falls from your hands and cleaning up spilt foundation is a painful task indeed.

In terms of coverage, the Nearly Naked does give nearly naked kind of barely-there light coverage which unifies uneven skin tone và gives a dewy finish. The foundation is a thick liquid that is easy khổng lồ blend with the fingers as well as with a brush. The dewy, radiant finish is perfect for dry khổng lồ combination skins though I wouldn’t recommend this for really oily skins. I need khổng lồ set this foundation with powder (something that I avoid doing with the Estee Lauder Double Wear & L’Oreal Infallible foundations) because without powder, the dewy finish becomes shiny within a couple of hours, especially in Mumbai’s humid weather. However, the foundation does long for quite a decent time, around 4-5 hours with powder) before it fades into almost nothingness.

While the Nearly Naked doesn’t have any fragrance, it does seem to lớn have a weird, chemical-y smell which thankfully fades after some time. I would have preferred it had Revlon added some fragrance khổng lồ it khổng lồ mask this funny smell.

It also has broad spectrum SPF đôi mươi in it. I feel that you should always wear a separate sunscreen since you don’t get adequate protection from sunscreens in makeup products but for those who are too lazy for that, well, at least something is better than nothing. & thankfully, the SPF doesn’t cause a trắng cast in pictures taken with flash.

Sorry for the messy swatches. Too much of the product came out and since I was in a hurry to lớn finish clicking pictures (had to lớn take son khổng lồ class), I tried to blend it as best as I could. These are two of the three shades that this foundation is available in here in India; 130 Shell & 160 Fresh Beige. There is one more shade available, 190 True Beige which is the darkest of the three.

It kind of takes me back lớn the 90s and early 2000s when foundations came in only three shades; Fair, Medium và Light. Though Revlon wants girls lớn get creative & blend different shades to lớn create their own custom shade, three shades are simply not adequate enough. Especially since the darkest shade wouldn’t work for tones beyond NC44. I wonder why they chose khổng lồ launch just 3 shades in India, though, when they have a total of 16 shades in this range internationally.

I have worn the Nearly Naked foundation in 160 Fresh Beige (that shade just perfectly matches my skintone) here…..

As you can see, it gives a very natural, barely-there coverage and dewy finish. It doesn’t manage to cover my acne marks, but then you need a heavier coverage foundation/concealer for that.

Priced at ₹750, the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation is a really good, affordable buy for those wanting a light, my-skin-but-better foundation. It would really suit dry, normal and combination skins though girls with oily skin would do well to lớn avoid it. Wish we had more shades to lớn choose from though.
